Why Fiddler on The Roof? : an Introduction

My Blog, is named in part by the musical Fiddler on The Roof and on current world events.
My family rented Fiddler on The Roof at the video store. Synopsis ( Set in 1905, Fiddler on the Roof takes place in Anatevka, a small Jewish village in Russia. The story revolves around the dairyman Tevye and his attempts to preserve his family's traditions in the face of a changing world. there are other forces at work in Anatevka, dangerous forces which threaten to destroy the very life he is trying to preserve.)

If you follow the news any at all, you have probably heard about the Gaza Strip and west Bank pullouts in Israel.

I am not from Israel, nor am I Jewish, but still I have an interest in the nation of Israel.
